A social enterprise for children, families and communities
Hometown Care is a growing family of children's homes, fostering services, family assessment centres and contact centres. We create safe, nurturing places where children and young people can feel understood, valued and truly at home.
About Hometown Care
Hometown Care is built on the strong foundations of Cavalry Healthcare and Toto Homes. Together, we are creating a network of safe, nurturing places where children and young people can remain close to the people, schools and communities that matter most.
As a social enterprise, we reinvest in our carers, teams, homes and local communities. Every decision is made with one purpose: better futures for children and young people.

Meet Christine
I'm the Managing Director of Hometown Care, and my career has always been rooted in one simple belief: that children deserve to feel safe, valued and truly at home. Over the years, I've worked across health and social care in a range of leadership roles, supporting services to grow, improve and deliver better outcomes. But for me, it's never just about systems or strategy, it's about people. It's about creating environments where children can build trust, feel understood, and have the stability they need to thrive.
At Hometown Care, I'm proud to be leading a social enterprise model that puts children and communities first. That means creating local, stable homes where children can stay connected to the people and places that matter to them, while reinvesting back into our services, our teams and the quality of care we provide. I'm passionate about building services that feel consistent, relational and genuinely supportive: not just placements, but homes. Places where children can grow in confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and feel a real sense of belonging.
What drives me every day is knowing that the work we do has the potential to change the direction of a child's life, and that, done properly, care can be something that stays with them in the best possible way.
